Just before Chucka Bend where the Murray River bends and sweeps to Purnong and then further to Walker Flat, Bowhill is a popular destination for holidaymakers and plays host to a community of many shacks and holiday homes in its surrounding area.
Bowhill is also a favoured stopover location for the Murray Princess on its journeys along the Murray River.
It is also easy to see why Bowhill is a popular location for waterskiers with its beautiful river setting and inviting skiing conditions.
