Wellington is located at the junction of the River Murray
and Lake Alexandrina, 105km south-east of Adelaide.
Wellington's history dates back to the 1840's when the
first ferry on the River Murray was established in 1846
and two years later the Wellington Hotel, open today,
was licensed.
Good views of Lake Alexandrina are available from Wellington
and historic ruins from early settler days remain in Wellington's
vicinity.
Wellington is a great place to relax and go boating or
fishing.
Baker Reserve is beautifully maintained and an ideal spot
to launch for a day's waterskiing.
