Located 257km north-east of Adelaide on the Sturt Highway,
Renmark is Austalia's oldest irrigation town, settled
in 1887, and pioneered by the Canadian Chaffey brothers,
George and William.
Situated on a picturesque bend in the river, sundrenched
Renmark is surrounded by vineyards, citrus groves, orchards
and lush parks and gardens. Renmark has become an important
regional centre for business and commerce and caters extensively
for recreational and sporting pursuits for both locals
and tourists alike.
Renmark is known as the 'Houseboat Centre' of South Australia,
with a large part of the Riverland's houseboat industry
based near Lock 5 in neighbouring Paringa.

vantage, along with an array of galleries, craft stores
and historical attractions make Renmark a great place
to visit.
